Nick Bruno - Owner & President

Nick Bruno

Nick Bruno graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1981 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. In 1985 he joined Harris and Bruno, the company his father founded in 1948. Using his entrepreneurial skills, he transformed Harris & Bruno from a small machine shop to a global printing equipment supplier with offices in Roseville, Germany, and Japan, along with distributors worldwide. Nick has travelled extensively throughout the U.S. and Internationally, building his worldwide business, as well as educating printing industry leaders on coating and printing technologies.

Exhibiting his passion for the advancement of the printing industry, Nick’s service to his craft has been lengthy and broad. He has contributed his personal time, expertise, and influence, serving on the Boards of Directors of the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech) formerly NPES, and the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF), as well as chairing the APTech Workforce Task Force.

In addition to managing Harris & Bruno, Nick is heavily involved in his community. He is a member of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, takes part in food drives, supports local robotics teams, and offers educational field trips to local schools as he promotes manufacturing careers for tomorrow’s generation. His efforts have included working with the Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies, in the Greater Sacramento Area, and local high schools. The personal and compelling stories of students who have found their lives careers through Nick’s passion, commitment and generosity are the true measure of his success and influence.

Nick and his wife reside in Loomis, CA with their youngest son. He enjoys golf, water sports, and mountain biking, and shares these hobbies with his three children and two grandchildren.



 

Scott Michels - Vice President – Global Business Development

 

SCOTT MICHELSScott graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked several years as a mechanical designer for a large press manufacturer. From there he joined a printing/coating production plant as a design engineer working on various capital projects and plant upgrades.

In 1993, Scott joined Harris & Bruno as a sales engineer. In 2000, he was promoted to Product Manager and then in 2003 was asked to take over as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. From a young age Scott always wanted to work in a technical sales capacity and have the opportunity to travel on a global basis.

“Working for a smaller company, like H&B, with a global presence is a good fit for me,” Scott said. “I like the fact that we have some strong international exposure but we’re nimble enough to adjust and make changes quickly.”

Scott has been to every State in the USA except for Hawaii. He’s hoping to check that one off the list very soon. He’s also travelled extensively throughout many parts of the world to promote H&B products and set up international distributor networks.

Scott spent nine years working out of the H&B corporate office in California and then moved back to the East Coast where he lives now with his wife and three children in Plymouth, Massachusetts. His hobbies include boating, skiing, golfing and home improvement projects.

 


 Jim Riga - Vice President – Operations


JIM RIGAJim graduated from Chico State in 2000 with a BS in Manufacturing Technology and a minor in Production and Operations Management. After working four years as a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC tooling and optics manufacturing, Jim started working at Harris & Bruno International in 2001. First hired as a Project Engineer, he was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2003. In 2009 Jim was promoted to Director of Engineering & Service where he focused on building and developing strong, capable teams that sustained Harris & Bruno's success through the development of cutting-edge products and top-notch service. In 2016 Jim was promoted to Vice President of Operations. His focus is now putting the foundation and structure in place to help Harris & Bruno efficiently engineer and build products while ramping up and expanding production.

Jim has been around machinery his whole life, from childhood memories of working in his dad’s metal shop to throughout his schooling and career. Jim started working at a young age and never stopped, including working his way through college fulltime. This strong work ethic and lifelong experience with machinery allows Jim to confidently lead while bringing a practical approach to the technology in Harris & Bruno equipment.

Jim and his wife reside in Loomis with their two children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, gardening and home improvement projects. In both his personal and professional lives, Jim’s goal is to be the best at whatever he does.

 



Leandra Wilson - Director of Strategic Operations & Human Resources

Leandra WilsonLeandra earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from National University in 2005. Her work experience includes human resources management for a structural engineering company, a doctor’s office, and an aerospace manufacturing company.

 In 2008, Leandra started her Harris & Bruno career in human resources management.

Our innovative vision keeps us on the cutting edge of technology so that we remain great at what we do. It’s a small-company feel with worldwide success.”

Leandra is focused on building teams with structure and policies that empower members to participate in decision making and implement more efficient ways to work. Another passion is that of supporting local school events and programs that promote H&B’s commitment of teaching community youth about careers in manufacturing.

Leandra and her husband live in Placer County. Her hobbies include spending time with family, traveling to new places, attending festivals or concerts, and enjoying time under the sun.

 


  

Danielle Bosetti - Corporate Controller

DB

Danielle graduated from UC Davis in 1994 with a BS in Managerial Econmonics. She worked 20 years as a Controller at a Rental Car Company overseeing Bay Area operations that included all surrounding airports. 

In 2015, Danielle started her career here at Harris & Bruno International as Corporate Controller. 

"My goal is to be a true business partner here at Harris & Bruno and to help the company continue to grow and thrive." she said. 

Her previous work experience has taught Danielle the importance of timely and accurate financial statements, but even more importantly how to analyze and use that information to work with managment and improve the profitability of a company. She truly believes it's important to work hard and to reward hard work. 

Danielle and her husband reside in Rocklin. She is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and occasionally goes to Spring Training. She also loves touring the Wine Country. 



 

Daniel Carr - Plant Manager

DANIEL CARRDaniel Jesus Carr earned a bachelor’s degree in Technical Business Management from DeVry University in   2018. His 24 years of experience in manufacturing includes 19 years in management roles coaching and growing people for success. He has 10 years of experience working with Lean methodologies and using them to help transform organization’s cultures, processes and systems. 

In 2017, Daniel started his Harris and Bruno career as Plant Manager. He has helped to transform the organization into a culture of continuous improvement by training, implementing, and guiding teams using Lean concepts and practice. During his time at Harris and Bruno, the company has reached new levels oefficiency that is effectively translating to customers in the way of quality, delivery and cost.

“I am dedicated to guiding Harris and Bruno International through their own complete Lean transformation,” Daniel said. “ H&B’s driven teams of individuals have welcomed the change openly, and I enjoy helping them achieve new levels of success using strategic planning and execution.”

Daniel resides in Elk Grove, CA with his wife and four daughters. He is a soccer coach in his spare time, where two of his daughters play on the teams he coaches. He enjoys growing and developing the team of girls each season, and challenging them to be their best. Daniel loves spending time with his wife and four daughters experiencing life, attending concerts, and enjoying fatherhood.
